• Would you like to find out more about your family tree or a particular ancestor?

We will carry out research on your behalf and provide you with a report of the research process along with the evidence found and conclusions reached.  The report will include citations for the records used and, where possible, images of those records.  Depending on the nature of the report, it may include family tree charts, maps, and other relevant illustrations.  Research reports can be delivered digitally or in print.  Family trees can also be provided in the form of GEDCOM files upon request.  If you would like to set up an online family tree on the Ancestry or Find My Past websites, we can assist with that.

Desktop research and reporting will be charged at £50 per hour plus expenses.  In order that you can stay in control of the cost and direction of the work, it is generally arranged in blocks of 5, 10 or 20 hours, depending on the scope.  Expenses primarily relate to records – there will be no charge for records that are accessible for free or within our existing subscriptions, while records that must be purchased will be recharged at cost.  We will agree on a budget for expenses before starting work so that you know what to expect.  Bespoke pricing will be quoted for field research at archives, libraries, graveyards, etc. based on the expected time and expenses.

We will use graphic design to develop the findings from research reports into a beautiful family tree poster, family history book/booklet or house history book/booklet.  You can select the information to be included and we can incorporate family photos and other meaningful images if you wish.  The design can be customised to your preferred colours, fonts, etc.  Items can be delivered digitally or as high-quality prints.  If you have an idea for another memento, please send us the details and we will be happy to explore the possibility.

Production will be charged at £50 per hour of design work plus the cost of printing, delivery and other expenses.  We will agree on an expected number of hours of work based on your particular scope of work.  These items are typically ordered in combination with Research.

• Would you like to undertake research yourself and need help getting started?
• Have you already done some research and would like another perspective on how to tackle a ‘brick wall’?
• Have you done a DNA test for genealogical research and would like assistance with interpreting the results?

We will analyse your information and provide you with a report tailored to your individual requirements.

Analysis and reporting will be charged at £50 per hour.  We will agree on an expected number of hours of work based on your particular scope of work.

• Have you identified a record of interest in the catalogue of a Northern Irish archive and would like someone to review it, photograph it and/or transcribe it?
• Have you ascertained a likely burial ground for an ancestor in Northern Ireland and would like someone to search for their headstone?
• Have you pinpointed a Northern Irish building or other location of relevance to your research and would like someone to photograph it?

We will visit the relevant location in Northern Ireland to carry out searches, photography and/or transcription (as applicable) on your behalf and provide you with the results.

Bespoke pricing will be quoted for look-ups based on the expected time and expenses.

We will provide a voucher that can be used to pay for our services.  You can set any value for the voucher starting from £100 and you can select from a range of designs.  You can choose to have the voucher emailed directly to the recipient or to download it as a PDF so that you can send it yourself or print it out.  You have the option to send the voucher straight away or schedule delivery for a future date.  Vouchers will be valid for purchases made within five years from the date of issue.
